Adnan Mannan
About
Adnan Mannan is working as an Associate Professor of the Dept. of Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology, University of Chittagong. He completed his PhD from Curtin University, Australia, and masters from the University of Hull, UK. He is also a visiting research scholar at Oregon State University, USA. Adnan is presently working on the epidemiologic and molecular basis of various genetic diseases. Adnan is also working on the molecular basis of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. His previous research work includes the metabolomics and molecular signaling pathway, study of various natural compounds. His research work also consists of the genomic and proteomic study of various microbes and human genes using the computational approach. Adnan achieved Australian Postgraduate Award, International postgraduate research Scholarship 2013 (Australia), And Champion Award of 3MT (Three Minute thesis’2015) at Curtin University. His research articles have been published in 21 international journals. He is one of the Directors of Network of Young Biotechnologists of Bangladesh. He is also a member of the Australian Society for Medical Research, Australian Pharmaceutical Sciences Association, and Global Network of Bangladeshi Biotechnologists.
