Md. Moyazzem Hossain is an applied statistician and data scientist with expertise in both developing and applying recent methodologies, models, and technologies. He is interested in multi-disciplinary research. Mr. Hossain starts his teaching career as a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Bangladesh University of Business & Technology (BUBT) in 2008. Before joining Jahangirnagar University as an Assistant Professor, he served as a Lecturer and Assistant Professor at the Department of Statistics, Islamic University, Kushtia from 2010 to 2014. Currently, Hossain working as a faculty of Statistics at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh.

Besides teaching, Hossain enjoys research activities. As a result, he published a good number of research articles on different national and international peer-reviewed journals. Hossain is very much interested in collaborative and interdisciplinary research. Additionally, he served as a Member of the Editorial Board of different international journals. Moreover, Hossain is allied with several international organizations/societies like The Centre for the Study of Global Human Movement, University of Cambridge, UK; Royal Statistical Society, UK; International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS), Japan; Cancer Care and Research Trust Bangladesh, Bangladesh and many more.
